Magnetic sensors for document security
In the printing process of valuable documents usually some elements with particular
magnetical characteristics are used; these elements can be magnetic inks, tapes, stripes
and thread. The scope of their usage ranges from anti-counterfeiting to identification
and machine reading of encoded data.
The documents that normally incorporate magnetic elements are banknotes, checks,
postal documents, tickets and credit cards.
Astel developed a number of applications based on client specifications concerning the
detection and measurement of the magnetical properties of elements used in above
discussed sectors.
